About

P1030171-copy-1000x750

I qualified from the British School of Osteopathy in 2005 and have been working as a Osteopath since then. My family life has taken me all over the country, which has given me a huge variety of experience working in many well established practices with patients from all walks of life.

In 2014, Yorkshire became home and I set up Almscliffe Osteopathy. My aim for Almscliffe Osteopathy is to help everyone, of all ages have pain free mobility and live healthy active lives, wether that is a daily walk to the post box, weekly round of golf or running a marathon.

I have developed a specialist interest in the treatment and management of arthritic joints. The benefits of treating Arthritis early and correctly can be life changing for sufferers of all ages. Degenerative joints is not just a problem for the elderly, many suffer from their 30s and addressing it early can slow progression and improve quality of life!

The country side of Yorkshire is a inspiring place and since moving here I have developed a love of hills. I cycle, run, walk and swim whenever and wherever possible.

When training for half marathons and triathlons I have discovered first hand about the benefits of kinesiology taping and am partaking in further training to become a recognized KT tape practitioner.

As an osteopath I look at the body as a whole. Structure governs function and when there is dysfunction or pain I aim to establish where and why the structure has gone wrong and the best path to take to enable the body to heal.  Sometimes I will refer to and recommend other health care practitioners. Over my time in Yorkshire I have developed a network of practitioners whom I trust and respect and we work together to get the problem better for the long term.

It is important to me that Almscliffe Osteopathy is accessible to everyone and I encourage people to phone, email or message with any questions or concerns they may have.  I am more than happy to give advice or point you in the correct direction if it isn’t something I can help/advise on.  Please don’t suffer in silence.
